The recent NSF grant to Eva Tardos, Larry Blume, David Easley, Bobby Kleinberg, Jon Kleinberg, and Maureen O'Hara ("Networks, Learning and Markets with Strategic Agents") is discussed in an article in The New York Times business section on Sunday Sept. 13. The article, part of a set of pieces written on the one-year anniversary of the collapse of Lehman Brothers, discuss academic research into how networks of trust can break down in financial markets.
