Exam Scheduling Guidelines

***A exams should be scheduled by 7th semester (4th year).  The graduate school will place a hold on your registration if you have not met this milestone before the 7th semester.

You are responsible for submitting your schedule form WITH approvals 7 days prior to the exam.  The Graduate school is VERY STRICT with this DEADLINE.  If it’s a weekend, plan accordingly.  If you do not make this deadline you will need to reschedule the exam for a later date!

Scheduling your A or B exam:  Forms must be submitted 7 days before your exam!  Please also announce your exam 7 days prior to the cs field members and phd students.

Forms for Scheduling either A or B Exam

A  Exam:  Email approvals from your committee members are fine to submit with the form (including the approvals you received when booking your exam).  You do not need official signatures.

B Exam:  Email approvals from your committee members are fine to submit with the form (including the approvals you received when booking your exam).  You do not need official signatures.

I need a Proxy:

  1. Proxy form if you need another faculty member to sit in for one of your committee members because they are unable to attend your exam remotely.   Email approvals from your committee members are fine to submit with the form.  You do not need official signatures.
  2. You will also need to submit a General Petition.   Email approvals from your committee members are fine to submit with the form.  You do not need official signatures.

Please bring all forms to the CS Graduate Office, 110C Gates Hall.  The CS Graduate Office will submit these forms to the Graduate School.
