Cornell CS on the airwaves! Ross Knepper has done two radio interviews recently talking about his robotic research. He appeared on a podcast on Susan Brender’s show It’s All About You! in mid-November as well as locally on Tech Minute with Kyle Robertson talking about robots solving problems for themselves.

CS Prof Ross Knepper and his student, Christoforos Mavrogiannis, will attend WAFR (Workshop on the Algorithmic Foundations of Robotics), where they will present their work on competent robot navigation through crowded human spaces by employing socially competent pedestrian behaviors. This paper has already received a lot of attention due to its innovative use of braid theory from algebraic topology.
